Wedding Expo

The 2012 Rockhampton wedding and event expo is being hosted by Reef City Catering at the Rockhampton showgrounds on Sunday 19th February, with gates open from 10am, via Gate 9 New Exhibition Road.

The grand finale of the day will be the draw of the $9,600 win a free wedding competition drawn on the day at 3.pm. The lucky winner will receive $9,600 worth of fantastic inclusions.

The expo is being billed as one of the largest in the region with 60 of the region’s top wedding service providers showcasing their products and services.

Event Co-ordinator Rita Dadson said it will show the potential of the showgrounds as a premier wedding destination. “The showgrounds has recently undergone a facelift and I think it’s time to unveil the full potential it has to host a range of events including wedding ceremonies and receptions” commented Rita.

The Rockhampton wedding expo promises to be a great day out for anyone looking for ideas for their special day. Highlights

The James Lawrence Pavilion has recently undergone a facelift and Capricorn Event Decorator will be decorating the room in a spectacular winter-wonderland theme. A themed cake by “wedding cakes by Wendy”, will also be on display.

The adjoining JL room will be kitted out as a cocktail style function with a range of illuminated party equipment and decorations supplied by “Pimp my Party” and Stand out Events, showcasing the diversity that the showgrounds has to host a range of functions including corporate client functions, weddings and themed events.

A range of wedding cars will be displaying on the day along with CQ Party Hire who will have their Marquee on display in the Cremorne area. The Rotunda will even be decorated for a wedding ceremony. The highlight of the day will be two spectacular sound and light fashion parades hosted by “Hills of Hollywood” and “Bridal Affair”.

Entry Fee

Entry into the expo is just $5 and eligible brides can register for the draw upon entry to JL Pavilion. Entry to the showgrounds is via Gate 9 on New Exhibition Road.
